If the number of applicants exceeds the capacity of the school or a grade level on the enrollment deadline date, a lottery will be held to determine enrollment. Capacity is limited to 300 students. The lottery will be supervised by the Founding Board of Colorado Calvert Academy and will be held no later than two weeks following the enrollment deadline. The final lottery policy will be approved by the Founding Board. The policy will comply with the Colorado Charter Schools Law and follow specific guidelines set by the US Department of Education. The policy is subject to further review by the Colorado Department of Education and Charter School District.
Enrollment Capacity
Enrollment is on a first come, first served basis. We have limited space available. All enrollment paperwork must be competed to be considered for the 2011/2012 school year. If there is no space available in the grade for which you are enrolling your name will be added to the waiting list for that grade in the order received.
Colorado Calvert Academy’s enrollment capacity for the 2011-2012 school year is limited to 300 students. The chart below shows the maximum number of students that will be enrolled in each grade. If applications exceed these numbers in any grade a lottery will be held to determine acceptance. (see lottery procedures).

Enrollment Requirements
Eligibility Requirements and Verification
Eligibility requirements are dictated by Colorado State law and by the Colorado Public Charter School District. All students must meet these requirements and submit acceptable forms of proof.
Residency Requirement
All students must be residents of the State of Colorado and provide proof of residency.
Accepted Proof of Residency:
A mortgage statement or lease agreement.
A gas & electric or water bill from the previous 60 days with name and address.
Age Requirements
Under Colorado law students must meet the following age requirements to be considered for acceptance. An exception may be made for students who have completed kindergarten or first grade in another state with a different age requirement. Parents who do not enroll their children in public or private kindergarten are required by law to sign a waiver to that effect.
Kindergarten: All students must be five years old on or before September 1, 2011.
First Grade: All students must be six years old on or before September 1, 2011.

Immunizations
All students are required to submit evidence of immunizations. Colorado Certificate of Immunization (DHEC Form 1148) or a Religious Exemption (DHEC Form 1126) to enroll. DHEC form 1148 must be completed by a licensed health care provider. Immunization forms will be provided upon acceptance to Colorado Calvert Academy and must be received by July 15, 2011.

Legal Guardians
All legal guardians must submit a copy of the court order assigning guardianship.
IEP or 504 Plan
If your student has an IEP or 504 Plan, you must submit a copy of the plan and Eligibility Report.
