A long-term advocate for alternatives and choice in education, Ms. Davis is a veteran educator with a commitment to serving families and individual student needs.  Among her many accomplishments are serving on the leadership team of the Douglas County School District’s online program, serving as a consultant to the Colorado Charter School Institute and working as a curriculum development specialist and master teacher for Aventa Learning.  Ms. Davis holds a BA in Political Science from Vassar College and an MA in Education from The Claremont Graduate University.

Kaylynn Johnson, Early Primary Grades Teacher

Kaylynn has been teaching primary students for 16 years!  Nine of those years she has been teaching online students.   She is so excited for her second year here at Calvert.  She believes Colorado Calvert Academy is the best online school in the state and is honored to be part of such an amazing school!

I am the Colorado Calvert Academy fifth and sixth grade teacher. I have the privilege to be starting my tenth year as a teacher, specifically, my fifth year as an online teacher. While I enjoy working with my online students, I am even more proud of my family. My husband and I have four wonderful children ages nine, seven, five, and three. I love to spend my time with my family participating in outdoor activities. I also love to cook and bake yummy treats!
Lindsey
Lindsey Foulkes, Student Success Specialist, Special Education

The veteran of over 40 moves, Ms. Foulkes has called Colorado home for only the past 8 years. A current homeschooling mom for her daughter, Ms. Foulkes is also a passionate author in several genres and enjoys helping her students with their writing. Being a survivor of “apocalyptically bad middle school math teaching”, Ms. Foulkes loves teaching math so her students learn to love it at a much earlier age than she did. She has taught in public, private, residential and corporate settings. Lindsey will be working as the Exceptional Student Services provider, and Student Success Specialist for the upcoming school year.

Nichole Bansberg, RtI and Gifted and Talented Teacher

Nicki moved to Colorado Springs, CO in 2009 and loves the active mountain lifestyle that Colorado offers to families.  She loves hiking with her dogs, snowboarding, riding her quad, reading and scrap-booking.  Nicki is currently the 3rd and 4th grade teacher as well as the Response to Intervention Support Teacher for Calvert.  Nicki really enjoys building strong relationships with her students and families while partnering with parents to help students reach their very highest level of academic and personal success.

 

Amy
Amy Collins, Middle Grades Teacher

Amy has been teaching everything from reading, writing, library skills, drama, choir, social skills, and more for the past 13 years. She loves the depth and challenge of the Calvert curriculum and cannot wait to dive into it with her seventh and eighth graders!

Kerry Kantor, Executive Assistant/Registrar

Transplanted to Colorado courtesy of her husband’s USAF retirement, Ms. Kantor will be that cheerful voice you will hear when you call our office.  Kerry is an 18 year veteran homeschooling parent who used Calvert her own children.  Kerry is excited to see Calvert Academy in Colorado, and is looking forward to working with our families.
